The “ChicagoLand” DMR system was started by a group of Illinois & Wisconsin repeater owners. We have fully embraced the world of DMR radios, and other digital formats. We started out on the DCI c-bridge (MARC already has a large presence in our area) but quickly grew to a point where we felt the need to take the next step and launch our own “ChicagoLand” c-bridge. By following this path we were able to have more control over our talk groups and open up expansion opportunities into other areas.
Any repeater owner who wishes to join the “ChicagoLand” c-bridge is welcome.
Each individual repeater can carry any talk groups that are available on “ChicagoLand” as PTT activated or always ON.
We do highly recommend : Local 1 & Local 2 always be ON, with the Statewide & Regional TG’s always ON “in their respective state/region”.

The “ChicagoLand” c-bridge (its Owners and/or Administrators) does NOT maintain any “special” support or consideration
for emergency services or weather such as SkyWarn, OEM, ARES, or RACES.
The WEB based c-bridge SW is not designed for the kind of reliability and priorities required.
Standard, Regional or Local TG’s are available for all Hams or groups to use as they wish in a legal manner.
